What are TMT Bars?
TMT [Thermo Mechanically Treated] bars are manufactured using Thermo Mechanical Treatment technology. It is a process by which the hot-rolled bars are water quenched in order to enhance their tensile strength, weldability and ductility. TMT bars are earthquake-resistant.
How to select best TMT Bars?
TMT Bars [Thermo Mechanically Treated] bars, TMT bars available in India can be of three different grades. Select the higher grade TMT bars [Fe 500] for your building, such as in the floors and roofs because it will have perfect balance of strength and flexibility. AMMAN-TRY TMT bars are a perfect blend of strength and ductility.
What are the advantages of TMT Bars?
Advantages of TMT bars include 1. Super Ductility 2. Superior Strength 3. Weldability 4. Corrosion Resistance 5. Earthquake Resistance 6. Heat Resistance 7. Bendability.
What is the difference between Fe500 and Fe500D?
The difference between Fe500 and Fe500D TMT bars:
Fe500 TMT Bars are 1. Easily Bendable 2. Earthquake Resistance 3. Ductile and High Strength. Fe 500 bars have a high Sulphur percentage of 0.040, where it consumes more steel. On the other side, Fe 500D TMT bars are also the best TMT bars used for construction and have more ductile strength. Fe500D bars are certified with ISO. They contain a minimum Sulphur percentage of 0.035, which consumes less steel. The important difference between Fe500 and Fe500D TMT Bars is their respective steel consumption. Thus small factors can make a huge difference.
How Ready Made Steel is made?
Ready Made Steel (Rings) are made up of ISI Fe 500 grade high strength TMT bars in most commonly used sizes. RMS are of various shapes like Square, Rectangle, and Round. Redy Made Steel Rings are manufactured through automatic machines, using the strictest quality control to ensure consistency Quality & accurate dimensions. They have a 135 degree hook as prescribed, for better bonding with concrete core and 4D size Mandrel (Pin Plate) for Bending.

What is corrosion resistance steel?
CRS which means CORROSION RESISTANT STEEL, It is highly used for non rusting. Corrosion Resistance Steel (CRS Steel) bars manufactured by Copper and Chromium to prevent from the rust and corrosion. Advantages of CRS TMT Steel bars are 1. Suited for salty & seashore area 2. Earthquake Resistance 3. Economical
How does the steel billets are manufactured?
Steel Billets are good raw materials for TMT Bars & CRS Bars. There are many steps involved in manufacturing of steel billets: 1. Furnace 2. Using Scraps 3. Tapping 4. Casting 5. Billet Cutting 6. Billet Identification.
Who are the best steel billets manufacturers in India?
AMMAN-TRY is one of the best steel billets manufacturers in Tamil Nadu, India, producing the quality steel billets which will stand against the Blow Holes, Piping and Cracks.
What is a billet and what are its features?
Billets are one of the best raw materials used to make TMT bars. At Amman-TRY, Ladle pouring technique is used for manufacturing billets and it will avoid defects like Blow Holes, Piping & Cracks.
How TMT Bars are manufactured?
TMT Bars Manufacturing Process: Amman Steel is a pioneer in manufacturing TMT Bars and follows Temcore Belgium technology. Initially, the steel bars are passed into the hot rolling mill where the steel is rolled to the required size. The bars taken out from the hot furnace is cooled rapidly in the water tank. Following the cooling process, the outer part of the steel bars gets harder, called the Morton Site, which ensures the ductility of the TMT bars. But the inner part remains at a high temperature called the Austinite, which will be very soft. Hence the bars are carried back to the cold bed where the temperature between the outer part and inner part gets equalised. Once the TMT bar gets cools down, the interior of the bars becomes flexible and turn into the fibreglass pearlite structure. Finally, it will be tested with a sophisticated Metallurgical Microscope.
How CRS steel controls the corrosion?
In CRS TMT Bars, chromium is added to the steel which increases the resistance to corrosion. Also, the addition of copper seals the tiny pores in the iron, forming a thin membrane-like film which will control the corrosion.
How ISI certified AMMAN-TRY Bars are different from other TMT bars?
AMMAN-TRY TMT Bars are certified by the Indian Standards Institution. In 2008, after the Government Orders, many steel companies had to get ISI Certification out of compulsion. But, AMMAN-TRY is following the ISI standards and testing procedures form its inception.
What exactly are FE 550 TMT bars?
Strong steel bars called FE 550 TMT bars. It employed in construction projects as reinforcement. When compared to standard TMT bars, they offer more strength and durability.
Are FE 550 TMT bars more expensive than other TMT Bars?
Due to the great safety and lower maintenance requirements over the long term, FE 550 TMT bars are a cost-effective option for building projects requiring stronger structural integrity.
